Members Present:

  • Jessie Frank, director
  • Kirstin Brown
  • Beth Chase
  • Paulette Green
  • Aimee Agett
  • Terri Werwinski
  • Melissa Willey
  • Lisa Swaciak

Absent: None

The meeting was called to order at 6:00__ pm by _Lisa Swaciak_.

The Secretary’s report was previously submitted via email by _Paulette Green_. Beth Chase motioned to accept it and Melissa Wiley seconded. The motion was carried.

The Treasurer’s report: submitted by Pam Smith_. Kirstin Brown moved to accept the report. Aimee Agett_ seconded. The motion was carried.

  • The donation of $120,000 for the building fund was received.
  • Melissa Willey made a motion that Beth Chase seconded for Pam to place the donation from the Lucia family into it’s own CD. Motion carried

The Director’s report: Jessie Frank had the following to report:

  • Terri Werwinski motioned for Don to repurpose the existing computers to be donated to someone in need in the community. Paulette Green seconded. Motion carried.
  • Mrs. Vernon donated packaged meal kits for families in need. Jessie will be sending the remaining meal kits to the food pantry.
  • Jessie ran an art program for 6 weeks, Halloween party and a 3 week lego program
  • Birch Tree water painting was offered on 11/13 and 11/20.
  • The town tree lighting is on December 6th the library will be open to decorate a tea light snowman. Melissa and Lisa will attend.
  • On December 11th Bonnie Beechler will be painting 4 wooden ornaments for $20.
  • On December 12th there will be a centerpiece making class at Events by Jess in Machias. The cost is $25.
  • Aimee Stanbro will conduct a sign painting class on December 15th. The cost is $35.

Melissa Willey moved to accept the director’s report. Beth Chase seconded. Motion carried.

Communications:

  • Condolences sent to the families of Nancy Bantle and Thelma Mapes.
  • Jessie sent a thank you to Carol Lucia’s daughters for their generous donation.

Grant Committee:

  • Nothing to report

Old Business:

  • Policy review is ongoing
  • Kirstin Brown motioned, Terri Werwinski seconded, that Pam and Lisa be put on the safe deposit box and Kim Palmatier be removed. Motion carried.
  • Jessie had board members complete the sexual harassment training and paperwork.

New Business for next meeting:

  • None

Period for Public Expression:

NA

The board entered executive session at 6:38 PM.

Melissa Willey motioned to give Jessie a $325.00 bonus, which will be issued in a separate check from her paycheck. Kirstin Brown seconded. Motion carried.

Beth Chase motioned to give Jessie a 3% pay increase. Paulette Green seconded. Motion carried.

Melissa Willey_ moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:53 PM_ and _Aimee Agett_seconded it. The motion was passed.
